Why Vermont?

The need is tremendous.  But so is the potential.

Vermont is not only home to the beautiful Green Mountains, Ben and Jerry’s, and the birthplace of snowboarding.  It is also consistently ranked as the least churched, least religious state in the nation.  On any given Sunday, less than 2% of the population attends an evangelical church. Burlington has been called the second most post-Christian city in America, and the University of Vermont is twice as unchurched as the average public university in America.  Furthermore, most of Vermont’s 23 universities and colleges have no Christian campus ministries, and less than 25% of Northern New England’s 90 colleges and universities have any established Christian witness.

We’re committed to preparing a new generation of missional leaders to serve in the secular context of New England and the Northeast. Our ten-month internship will challenge you through theological studies, practical ministry skill development, and character formation. Our team of veteran university missionaries and seasoned local church pastors will prepare you for a lifetime of Christian service on university campuses, in local churches, and in the marketplace.
